Live-In Care

Many years experience in the unique discipline of referring Live-In Caregivers has made our agency a leader in Western Connecticut. Live-In Care presents special challenges and requires an agency knowledgeable in creating harmonious, respectful relationships between clients and Live-Ins.

Because many Live-In Caregivers come from outside of the United States, additional security screening is required to assure legal residency here in the USA. Our methods of screening and background analysis, developed over the years, have proven to be invaluable to the clients we serve. Our due diligence has resulted in referral of Live-Ins of the highest caliber and has validated our position as a quality care referral service.

General information about Live-In Caregivers:

• Caregivers perform tasks such as cooking, laundry, light housekeeping, driving and shopping and provide personal care when needed.

• Live-In Caregivers do not perform heavy cleaning, yard work, or any work not pertaining to the well-being of the client, unless agreed upon.

• Live-In Caregivers are generally provided private accommodations and food by the client, but provide their own personal items and specialty foods.

• If driving is required, the client may provide a car unless alternate
arrangements are made with the Live-In.

• Live-In Caregivers should receive 6 to 8 hours of restorative sleep each night to be revitalized for the duties of the next day.
